Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered with Care

MS affects the brain and spinal cord, which means symptoms can vary from person to person. It is a lifelong condition, often with symptoms that come and go or gradually worsen over time. You might experience issues with balance, fatigue, mobility, or changes in how you think and feel but everyone’s journey is different.

Our care teams receive nationally recognised training, plus specialist guidance tailored to supporting people with MS. This includes awareness of the condition, person centred care, and encouraging self management.

We also work closely with MS charities and organisations to keep our knowledge fresh and relevant, so we can give you the best care possible.

We know that MS can be unpredictable. That is why your care plan is flexible. If your needs or symptoms change, we will work with you to review your support and make sure it still fits your life and priorities.

There is no cure for MS just yet, but there are ways to manage the condition. Many people living with MS continue to live fulfilling, independent lives with the right care, medication, and support in place.

MS is often described as either relapsing or progressive.

  • Relapsing MS means symptoms come and go in flare ups, which can last from days to months and then settle.
  • Progressive MS tends to get worse over time without clear relapses, although this can happen very gradually.

Some people may experience a mix of both. Whatever type you are living with, we are here to support you through it.
